"Sooooo... I have a proposal."
"Entertain me in a different way, orrrr I can sever your head right here and leave your mangled corpse for the dogs to eat."
You have zero doubt in your mind that he's not lying. After all, you've seen plenty of times how violent he can be.
"Entertain you how?" You ground the words out, already your stomach is in knots.
"I'm glad you asked." You watch as that same unhinged smile from the first night forms on his face again.

Summary
It was well into the off-rotation when D-16 returned with his horde. Starscream was surprised he came back at all, half-expecting him to hijack an energon train bound for Iacon and march on Sentinel that very night. But Starscream had come to an insightful conclusion during the hours he spent alone welding his wounds: D-16 had absolutely no idea what he was doing.
(Fortunately, Starscream could teach him.)

Summary
Sparring can be done many different ways, some more pleasurable than others. Starscream finds this out the hard way (pun intended) when he decides that yielding to Megatron really is worse than doing the sensible thing and leaving with his dignity intact.
