There are a lot of things in life that people regret once it's all said and done. Most of the time it's little embarrassing things or moments where they lashed out, where they went past the line of what was okay. For him, Dustin Henderson, there were two regrets that seem to be the only things he can focus on.
Practically forcing Steve to go searching for D'art with him, and dragging Steve, Robin, and then Erica into his cracking the Russian's code turned into investigating the Russians.

Summary
He went from standing outside, staring up at the sky in horror, to jolting awake in his bedroom with his mom knocking on the door. In his confusion, he moved on autopilot, getting up and getting ready for today. Not realizing until he was opening his bedroom door that his limp was gone. The only reason he started to realize something was not necessarily wrong, but different was because walking past the windows… The sky looked perfectly clear. The sky was clear and from what he could see, the destruction across all of Hawkins was gone. Which should have been impossible, that type of damage could not disappear overnight.
