Summary
Just a single moment, a single split second, and everything falls apart for no reason. Within the sound of a snap, the car crashes, lightning strikes, tragedy strikes, and people can’t even realize what’s happened until after the fleeting moment has passed. It was ephemeral, but at the same time, it was lasting, eternal, because the echoes of its consequences would continue to haunt them long after the lightning and its storm had passed. Long after the wreck of the car has been cleaned off the street.
When his quirk first appeared, Midoriya Izuku had learned that all men were not created equal. Some were born into this world lucky and others were born into it unlucky. He also learned that he was one of those born unlucky. It would be hard not to be, considering his quirk was a Jinx.
When the weight of his misfortune became too heavy to carry, Izuku was pushed over the edge. Only for another boy with a different "villain quirk" to pull him back over. Together, the both of them move forward trying to prove to the society that not everything painted in a black light is bad.
The real question is whether or not Izuku can prove that to himself first.

Overall, it had been only a few months since Izuku’s diagnosis, and things had been good. The six-year-old was making friends at school, something that had relieved Shouta to no end. He had been afraid his child was taking after him, what with how lonely Izuku always seemed to be, extroverted in ways but introverted where it mattered. But then Izuku had come home one day with a black eye and a missing tooth, looking the happiest he’d ever been. Shouta had nearly had a coronary, but- with the look on Izuku’s face when he told his Dad how he’d helped someone, he’d made a friend, he’d been a Hero- Shouta couldn’t be too angry.
So, yes, things had been going well. Which was why Shouta was waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Summary
The scorch marks on the walls had been the first indication that something was wrong. The quiet of the apartment had been the second. The sinking feeling in his gut had been the third.
"Mom?" Izuku called. Only an unsettling silence answered him.
It was only as he crept further in that he got a true glimpse of the carnage that had become his home. The dining room table and chairs were shattered into pieces. Picture frames were broken with their glass all over the floor. More scorch marks marred the floor and furniture.
Izuku continued forward to check the rest of the apartment, even though something in him just... knew.
His mother was dead.
A ghost from the past comes back to haunt Izuku, and he realizes he has to come clean to his teacher in order to be protected from said ghost. Aizawa had been expecting at least one of his students to call while on break but he never could have imagined the gravity of that call.

“Midoriya?”
The boy’s swift, if unsteady march faltered, shoulder jerking awkwardly as he tensed. With a skittish pivot, the boy nearly smacked into the corner near the hall’s entrance, turning wide eyes towards his Sensei, mouth falling opening in surprise.
And that’s when Shouta got a good, proper look at the kid, searching the boy’s face, trying to understand why Problem Child was so…fearful.
Shouta made to speak, voice rumbling in his chest.
“What are…”
And then…then that critical gaze zeroed in on an all too oddly familiar anomaly, one tha that the man’s words petering out before he snapped his mouth shut entirely.
There was a soft hum of understanding as Shouta frowned, eyes flashing back towards the boy’s face, watching as the kid’s expression twisted from confusion and startled into something akin to bashfulness and fear.
He knew he’d been caught.
The man tried to even his tone as he stepped closer
"Problem Child, what is that?"
He knew, though, precisely what it was.

The kid took off his shirt which made Aizawa stop dead in his tracks. The entirety of Izuku’s abdomen was bandaged, multiple spots coloured red with blood. He was bleeding this whole time, and he hadn’t shown or said a thing about it. His back was decorated by large pieces of gauze covering the extensive wounds, the severity of which Izuku could feel but not see. Just how many wounds had this kid been walking around with? Aizawa watched him smile and joke around this morning as if he was any ordinary teenager.
“I usually change them in the bathroom so mom doesn’t walk in on me, but she’s not here today, so I’ll just do it in my room. Besides, I feel too tired to walk to the bathroom today,” Izuku announced as he began unwrapping himself from the bandages that served as an extra layer of skin. One for All was, at its core, a parasitic quirk.
All Might only ever focused on All for One and his quirk. How it was overpowered, and how, as long as he had it, All for One would keep on living. He never thought to question his own quirk. A quirk with the same origin and the same desperate greed for power.
Why did All Might pass on his quirk? After all, at the time he had believed his greatest foe to be long since dead. There was no reason for One for All to continue on without All for One to defeat.
So then, why had he acted on a whim and chosen a random middle school boy to take on the quirk?
It was almost like something could sense his deteriorating health, and was pushing him to keep the quirk alive at any cost
All Might may not have thought about this, but Izuku had.
So then, he shouldn’t have been surprised when he found himself violently thrust into the body of his middle school self after dying on the field without the chance to pass on One for All.

Summary
Nedzu tasks Aizawa Shouta to investigate some oddities amongst the staff at Aldera Middle School. However, due to said oddities amongst the staff, it's unwise to slip Shouta in as a transfer teacher. Thanks to a temporary physical age regression quirk, Shouta is primed to go undercover as a student at Aldera with two objects in mind: figure out the discrepancies in the staff and keep the only Quirkless student at Aldera, Midoriya Izuku, safe.
Deeply unimpressed at having to be fourteen again, even physically, Shouta finds an unexpected kinship with the kid. While he tries to keep Midoriya safe and solve the cast, Shouta ends up rediscovering some things along the way as well. Whether it's setting a bully on the path of redemption or reigniting his love of heroics, Midoriya Izuku and Aizawa Shouta are about to change each other's lives for the better.

Jason stared at Leo like he’d grown a second head. “Uh, this?”
“Why would you be sorry that I barged in on your Olympus-mandated crying session?”
Jason huffed like he was trying to laugh, but failed. “I’m the son of Jupiter, Leo. I don’t have Olympus-mandated crying sessions.”

Leo and Jason have a late-night talk on their way to Epirus, and a long overdue one at that. Some things that needed to be addressed are brought to light, and some things are firmly locked in the box before they can breathe, but that's the way things need to be.
