When Izuku gets hit by a quirk transforming people into cats, it accidentally latches onto one of the vestiges inside him. The next thing Izuku knows, he’s holding a white kitten with green eyes and the First User’s voice has vanished from his mind.
The cat gets along great with Inko, All Might, Aizawa, and all of class 1-A, but keeps hissing at and scratching his father.
Hisashi/All for One would like to know why this cat’s stare of disdain looks exactly like his younger brother’s.

Izuku is a ghost to society.
Not that he minds, of course. It’s what’s best for everyone. If he had it his way, he would fade from the world altogether, be a blissfully average person with a blissfully average life. However, there are 4 glaring problems with this wish:
1. The spirits that only he can see, who seem to both hate him and always need his help at the same time.
2. The closest thing he has to a parental figure is a sentient tree.
3. The frankly terrifying not-quirk that he can barely control, that has an irritating tendency to knock the shit out of anyone who so much as breathes wrong in his direction.
4. The fact that he’s somehow accidentally become a vigilante, which is attracting way too much attention in his opinion.Meanwhile, Eraserhead just wants to find his kid. But bringing him home may be a little harder than he thinks…
(Or, two heroes, two heroes-in-training, and one very persistent spirit try to convince Izuku that he’s not a monster to varying degrees of success.)

But after his father’s death and his mother’s slow fading, the denial became unbearable. Izuku must confront the gap between Shouta and himself, as well as the truth about his family, when he moves into Shouta's household years later.

Suffice to say, there were probably very many, very logical reasons behind all of this. But he had to be true to himself….

Izuku Midoriya is sent back to the past with nothing but the memory of fighting Overhaul and protecting Eri. Believing this to be a dream or the effect of a quirk, he misses his chance at latching onto All Might's leg, thereby missing his chance at receiving One For All.This changes things, but also doesn't change much at all.

Summary
Midoriya Izuku attracted trouble. It was just a fact of life – the sky was blue, the grass was green, and Izuku constantly found himself in an absurd number of deadly situations.
He was okay with that. Mortal peril was an average Tuesday afternoon for a Pro Hero like him. Being kidnapped was practically a holiday. Saving civilians as a building collapsed around him was easier than facing his worried mum later. He had dealt with All Might's disappointed dad stare and only cried for two hours afterwards.
A serial killing villain with an unknown Quirk would be no problem!
...but even Izuku had to admit that being sent back in time to his first day at UA wasn't on the agenda. Still, there was no-one more spitefully determined than him – he was going to make the most of it.
Yeah, good luck, heroes and villains alike! Deku was here to cause mischief and love his friends!

Saving the world twice in three months is a lot for anyone.
Of course, Izuku can't catch a break because now OFA is acting up. It's just stress, right? Except Shouta is starting to think there's more to his student's quirk than just extra training.

Summary
The television is the only thing lighting up the cramped, windowless room. Broken furniture, plastic bags, old newspapers and empty bottles litter the stained carpet, barely leaving space to walk. On the screen, All Might beams at the camera, carrying two battered children from a burning building.
In another part of the same town, the image reflects off a boy’s glazed eyes. He lies crumbled before the aged television set, easy to overlook in the mess. Blood soaks into the carpet underneath the shallowly breathing body; one more stain to join the others.
There is traumatic memory influencing Aizawa Shouta's perception of All Might, and the USJ incident actually ends up helping him move past it.

A gasp behind him catches his attention, and he turns his head. The person in question was still struggling to sit up, broken glass and blood lying at his knees. He looks young, Aizawa could have mistaken him for a student even. From where he was standing he can make out several injuries, some which even look days old.
He approaches the young man cautiously, stopping an arm’s length away.
“Hey…you okay?” he asks gruffly. “You looked like you took a bad fall.”
The young man lifts his head and coughs into his hand, shuddering. His messy, deep blonde hair tumbles across his line of sight as wide eyes gaze up at Aizawa.
“W-what the hell…where’d you come from?” he wheezes, gripping his side.
(While on their way home, Aizawa and Yamada stumble upon none other than the newly debuted Winged Hero Hawks, alone and injured in an ally way)

No, the far more logical and rational thing to do would be to assess the situation and work towards a solution.
Even if he was fighting the urge to punch something (namely the punk responsible for this mess).
Whoever that was. Out of the three, he had his suspicions, but he couldn’t be certain...regardless though, he’d solve that issue soon enough. He’d figure out who’d done this. He’d make certain they understood the ramifications for what they’d done.
But that would have to wait until he could think clearly, when he could temper his anger, when he could rationalize his actions.

And when he wasn't a damned cat sitting in the coils of his capture weapon staring into the verdant gaze of one very concerned Izuku Midoriya.

The boy blinked up at him in confusion. “What? But we’ll both get in trouble. You’ll be more hurt than I would be!” He protested as if the grown man’s safety was more important than his.
“I’m a pro hero, kid,” Shouta quickly silenced him as he spoke. “It’s my job to help those in need. I can handle myself, but I’m not leaving you behind. You’re coming with me whether you like it or not. I will drag your ass if it comes to it.”
OR, After Shouta Aizawa rescues his student during a villain attack, he is captured and finds himself in a cell underground. Izuku Midoriya, a random kid he met, is the only one who can help him escape.
