Tony settled Peter into his bed, making sure that everything was still there, he could still trust Steve, the delivery guy... Not so much. After his inspection, he kissed Peter softly on the forehead as he lay down eyes barely keeping open. Before he could leave there was a ruffle of sheets from behind him, he turned to see a jolt of energy stir though the boy. Peter's eyes looked like he was about to cry. In a voice no louder than a whisper he muttered.

Somewhere the back of his mind, past the daze of sleepiness, Steve knows that if someone is calling his house at this hour, it must be important. Anyone trying to reach his parents should know by now that calling the house phone is a fruitless endeavor.
So whoever is calling must be calling for him.
Nobody would call except his friends.
All his friends are middle schoolers.
And it's 2 AM.He can't let it ring straight through. Blame it on his newfound maternal instincts.

Dustin wakes up in pain in someplace dark and wet, struggling to breathe and fighting to move as pounds of rocks crushed down at him from somewhere unknown, all alone, very afraid, and hoping against hope that someone will stumble upon him.
Someone with familiar hair and a familiar face and Steve was pulling him out of the hole and carrying him to safety.
When he woke up, Steve was by his side, and Dustin wasn't aware of how much he needed to see him.
(AKA Dustin finds himself in a spot of trouble involving a demo-dog and a giant pile of collapsing rocks, and Steve is there when Dustin needs him most)
