    Summary

The world continued exactly as it had before, but Yuri was no longer fully there. Because the angle was the same, the way Yor shifted her weight, the way Anya’s cheek rested near her shoulder, the way Yor’s hand patted her leg once in reassurance. Softly, almost unconsciously, Yor began to hum the same three notes, off-key and repeated. Yuri’s breath caught. Spring sunlight flickered between the trees, but in his mind the air was colder, the path steeper, the basket lighter, and he was small enough to fit between her shoulders.

    Summary

Natasha gathers her things with practiced efficiency. “You busy later?” she asks.

“I had not planned to be.”

    “Good. You’re coming with me.”

    Thor blinks, “To the gala?”

“No,” Natasha says, already halfway back into the room. “Before.”

He studies her for a moment, searching her face for the joke she hasn’t made. “And what would my role be?” he asks carefully.

She shrugs, “You’re a prince. You’ve been to these things. You know what matters.”

A pause; it’s small, nearly invisible. “If you wish,” Thor says at last.

Natasha’s mouth twitches, just barely. “I do.” She turns and heads for the door without waiting to see if he follows.

After a beat, Thor does. He matches her stride easily, hands folded behind his back again, expression settled into something neutral and composed. If there’s anything else there, anticipation, curiosity, something softer, it stays carefully unspoken.

Thor volunteers for a mission he isn’t meant to take seriously. Natasha takes him dress shopping anyway. Somewhere between fabric swatches, quiet confessions, and a ruined gown, a memory resurfaces, one that is funny, tender, and already gone.

    Summary

Inside, the light was low and amber, and the only sound was the quiet drip of a leaky roof into a bucket. Behind the counter sat a man who looked far too cheerful for a place like this, polishing a single glass that did not need polishing. “Evenin’,” the man said. “You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”

“Worse,” the traveler panted. “A werewolf! Out in the fields! It was enormous and—”

    “Oh, you met Loki then.”

The traveler blinked. “You—you know about him?”

“’Course I do. Everyone does.” The man set down the glass and leaned his elbows on the counter. “Did you meet Loki or Mobius first?”

    Summary

Yelena’s expression didn’t change. She stared at Kate the way one might look at a raccoon caught rearranging the silverware. Kate clapped her hands together, eyes alight. “Okay, okay, so Bolt is this movie about a dog who thinks he’s a superhero—”

    Yelena raised her spoon. “Stop.”

    Kate froze mid-gesture. “What?”

    “Already, this is stupid.”

“It’s not stupid!” Kate insisted, kneeling in front of the couch like she was pleading for artistic vindication. “It’s adorable..."

Kate thinks a couple’s costume will be “so cute and totally iconic.” Yelena thinks Kate has lost her mind. They meet somewhere in between a trip to the thrift store and an “educational” movie night.

    Summary

Loki is one of the strongest witches in the land. By all means, his familiar should’ve been a sleek raven, a serpent, or at the very least a shadow creature. Instead, he got Thor: a golden retriever who can ruin any semblance of dignity.

    Summary

Thor walked in, he entered like a king returning from battle, wearing flannel pajama pants covered in tiny lightning bolts and a tank top that proudly proclaimed Hammer Time. He carried himself with absolute confidence, shoulders squared, chin lifted, mug in hand like a chalice of divine elixir, and his hair, his hair, was a full-scale natural disaster.

    Summary

Thor shifted. Just a twitch. A small one. The kind of movement you made when your body dreamed of warmth and reached for it before your mind caught up. He mumbled something against his arm. Then his eyes cracked open. They glowed blue in the darkness of the room, not with lightning, but the blue of the sky they would gaze up to together. It’s the same blue as their mother’s eyes.

He smiled. “Loki?” he murmured, voice hoarse and drowsy. “What’re you doing here?” That was all. Not a startle. Not a shout. No reaching for a weapon or calling for guards. Just his name, spoken like it was something soft, something safe, followed by a stupid, sleepy smile.

    And Loki- Loki shattered.

    Summary

It started as a quiet session in the far garden, where Mother sometimes taught them seidr when the weather was good and the court was elsewhere. Nearby, the fountain’s steady trickle was the only sound besides the soft rustle of leaves stirred by a gentle breeze. Thor crouched across from Loki, both seated on worn stones, a shallow bowl of water between them to focus their magic. Loki’s illusion hovered neatly above his reflection: a falcon, wings shifting with the wind. Thor’s image was unstable, lightning flashing in the wrong places, the shape flickering and faltering.

“Try again,” Loki said, voice tight with exasperation but softened by patience. “You’re thinking too loud again. Feel it. Less thunder, more thread.”

“I am feeling it,” Thor snapped, running a hand through his damp hair, heat rising under his skin. The image collapsed with a hiss of steam. “It doesn’t stay.”

Loki groaned, rising with a frustrated sigh. “You’re pushing it, not shaping it. It’s like trying to paint with a hammer.”

“Maybe that’s all I have,” Thor muttered, voice low, breath uneven. “Maybe I’m not meant for this.”

    Summary

Loki thought Thor’s nightmares had stopped. They were a childhood affliction; something violent, frightening, and best left unspoken by daylight. But when he hears that same terrible sound echoing down the hallway again, Loki is pulled back into memories he never meant to revisit.

Thor may have grown stronger, but some monsters grow with you.
