Summary
“I’m sorry.”
Furina finally said, having hesitated on her words for a while.
She waited for a response. But all he did was look at her with an undecipherable expression. He had no reason to say anything back to her, she was aware of that. It didn’t change the fact she hoped for a reply. Whatever would work to break the unbearable tension caused by the lack of noise.

Summary
Kokomi doesn't know what possesses her to call her ex she hasn't seen in years in the middle of the night, while completely drunk and risking to cause a major car crash.
Maybe, though, it doesn't lead to such horrible results."Kokomi has to force her own mind not to slip, not to rewind to a time they shared this mattress so often. The hours spent reading with a dark haired head laying on her chest, the kisses pressed against her lips, collarbone and thighs. Her back arching against that same bed as long fingers wrung out pleading notes from her. The morning breakfasts on those sheets, for how rare they were.
No, Kokomi doesn’t want to remember."

Summary
On the horizon, a pale light blooms across the waves. The sun is still hidden behind the mass of dark water, but soon it will make its appearance. Duty is a harsh mistress indeed; Xiao can already feel her tugging at his gut. But for the first time in millennia, for the first time in so long that it hurts behind his sternum to think about, he doesn’t want to leave.
A lantern drifts by above them, splattered silver and gold beneath the fading light of the moon. Xiao glances to the side. Yelan is lying flat on her back, eyes closed, fur-lined cape spread out around her shoulders, braid slightly askew. The grass, almost black in the darkness, fades into the ebony of her hair.
Or; two duty-bound souls connect under a lantern-lit sky.

EiMiko Modern AU: After a terrible accident involving her sister, Ei disappears, leaving no trace behind, even leaving behind her girlfriend, Yae Miko. 5 years later, just when Yae has picked up the pieces of her broken heart and has the confidence to move on, she spots a familiar face in the crowd, and the life she has so painstakingly built for herself is turned upside down once again.
===
“…the ocean.” Ei says quietly.
“What?”
“I love you as much as the ocean loves the shore.”
Yae turns to look up at a blushing Ei, who keeps her eyes trained on the horizon, refusing to make eye contact. “Because I love you the same way the ocean refuses to stop kissing the shoreline, no matter how many times it’s sent away.”Latest update: Chapter 14 - End of a Tide

Summary
By some miracle, Ken Kaneki— also known as the online artist Haise Sasaki— is hired to work on the next work and first graphic novel of Sen Takatsuki, his favorite author and a controversial figure in traditional society. He’s honored, of course, and very excited, but between storyboarding the next page, a literal serial killer on the loose, and the strange chemistry he has with Takatsuki, well… He hopes he isn’t in over his head.

Summary
“You catch glimpses of mystery— sadness, anger, and emptiness— behind her subtle expressions and refined style. She seems to have lost hope in everything; she expects nothing from anybody… Maybe that’s why she wants to destroy it all…”
— Haise Sasaki, on Sen Takatsuki
Eto, bleeding out and half a body, drags herself to the deepest part of Cochlea, where she knows he'll be. Once she gives him his crown to destroy the egg, she can finally leave (die) with nothing left unsaid. But fate is cruel, and memories are a loathsome thing, wont to pop up at the worst times. Memories of earliness, black coffee, and fruitful discussions.
Kaneki was ten minutes early, and Takatsuki was ten minutes late.
