Chuuya's lips curve into a small, enigmatic smile as he hears Dazai's final words. There's a sense of peace that settles over him, knowing that he won't be alone in the afterlife. "Goodnight, Dazai... "he whispers, his voice barely audible over the sound of his own ragged breathing. "I'll take my time getting there..."

Muffled voices wormed their way into Dazai's mind, sluggishly yet persistently cutting through the uncanny ringing in his ears. The only clear sound--
"A pocket full of posies... "
It was unnerving, especially in his current state. He shifted, trying to cover his ears, but whimpered in agony as his burns screamed. Leave me alone, he thought to himself. Chuuya, stop that singing. He coughed, ash coating his raw throat.
"Oh my gosh, he's alive!" A woman's voice pierced through the ringing, and Dazai was faintly aware of gentle hands brushing his forehead.
