Luckily for them, the team slowly changes their minds.

Dream beams pulling George into a tight hug, “I am so so proud of you Georgie! You were amazing! You saved us!”
An intense blush engulfs George’s face at the praise. Nonetheless he hesitantly wraps his arms around Dream to return the hug.
The sounds of footsteps cause George to lift his head. He makes eye contact with the boy. Gratefulness and astonishment comes off him in waves, “Thank you so much. You’re, you’re amazing.”
George smiles, “What’s your name?”
The boy flushes, “Sapnap, it’s Sapnap.”
George tugs Dream’s hand as they walk over to Sapnap. George looks him over noticing the scratches and bruises littering his skin, “Let’s go see my Mom. She can help with your cuts and bruises.”
Sapnap pauses for just a moment. And then. And then he’s at their side. Tears billow along his lashes yet a smile shines brightly, “Thanks.”
It’s the beginning. The beginning of something special.

“New roomie, how great.” The man spoke with deep sarcasm, voice rough as if unused. “Haven’t had one in a while.” He stood up, easily towering over George. He was built, definitely very strong, but didn’t look too bulky. His face was as serious as was his voice and posture. If this guy decided to rock his shit, George knew he was screwed.
He greatly hesitated before asking, but then decided it’s in his best interest to get to know his new cellmate. “W-why, what happened to the last one?” He tried his best to sound casual and absolutely not frightened to death, but his voice came out a little choked up.
“Well, let’s just say we had our disagreements.” Oh.
“Wait, they let you change cellmates?”
“Why, you trynna run off already?” He felt his heart drop, even after realizing this was probably this guy’s idea of a joke. George wasn’t sure if he should laugh it off or remain quiet. “‘Course they don’t. What do you think this is, summer camp?”
