Summary
Had anyone told him today he would be stuck, dangling off a roof, one hand latching on the edge, with the other hand holding a backpack full of stolen hero tech while one of the top heroes of the city contemplated letting him fall, Sakura wouldn’t have left his house. Instead, he would have eaten a proper breakfast. Maybe he would have finally patched that hole in his pants. Hell, he could have done his homework.
Instead, there he was. The muscles in his arms already aching from holding on, his arm ready to give out any second now, and as if that wasn’t enough, he had this prick talking down to him.
“You done yet?”, spoke the devil. Maybe he was in his early twenties? Sakura couldn’t tell. He was never really good at figuring out people’s ages. A fact that never ceased to haunt him, apparently. The guy’s hair was bleached, his teeth sharp and eyes vicious. Is this really what a hero was supposed to look like?
“Done? But I’m only getting-“
He pulled the backpack up and threw it with all his might at the hero’s face.
“..started!”

Sakura had a mom growing up, she loved him so, so very much. She worked hard and tried even harder to be there for her son. Sakura knew this and loved her with his whole heart.

Sakura had at least one good parental figure growing up. This is how I imagine things still going wrong despite that.
