Summary
Timothy Jackson Drake is coming apart in ways he can’t explain out loud. Everything feels like it’s speeding up—days blurring together, conversations slipping past him—and no one else seems to notice. Or worse, they notice and don’t care.
He can feel himself being replaced.
It makes sense, doesn’t it? Bruce has a real son now. Blood. Legacy. Something that actually belongs. Not something that had to force its way in, not something temporary. Why would Bruce hold onto him when he has that?
Tim tries to tell himself he’s imagining it, that it’s just stress, just pressure—but the thought won’t leave. It sits there, constant, heavy, impossible to ignore.
And underneath all of it, there’s something else. Something quieter, but worse.
Grief that never really left.
If Kon were still here, things would make sense. Kon would say something stupid just to make him laugh, or call him out for overthinking everything. He’d know what to do. He always did.
But he’s not here.
And Tim can’t fix any of this.
Except maybe—maybe that’s not true.
Maybe there *is* a way to fix it.
He just hasn’t found it yet.
