When Grace feels the first unmistakable gush of slick soaking down the inner seam of the orange jumpsuit tied around his waist, he shuts his eyes against the trembling reflection staring back at him in the Hail Mary’s compact lavatory and grips the steel rim of the tiny sink until his long fingers blanch white. He tries desperately to ignore the way his swollen scent glands glisten with dribbling oil along either side of his bare, unclaimed neck – and how the featherlight, viscous slide does nothing to soothe the roiling heat coiling low in his belly. Instead, it stokes the relentless ache beneath his skin until Grace convulses against the cold steel, teeth gritted through the onslaught heralding the end of their journey to Adrian.
Rocky and Simon stand just outside the lavatory door, the branding weight of twin, alien gazes somehow both a balm and a warning, even through the thick layers of Nomex. They have no idea what’s just happened. What’s just begun. No idea their Adrian mission is about to become so much worse.
Why, Grace thinks, pressing his heated forehead against the mirror until sweat smears across the glass. Why did I have to be born an Omega?

Admittedly, Grace is more than a little unsure how to handle the scene before him. That being the once half dead, blood soaked, one armed growling and glaring man now oddly softened but no less rather intimidating omega, grumbling something under his breath as he all but paves a path into the floors of their shared home.
Or
Simon gets worked up as his heats start to come back, along with a tsunami of instincts and feelings which he isn't sure how to process. Grace helps his fellow Omega in need, because that's what friends do... right?

“I’m….going to Earth.”
The sound of a mug shattering in Grace’s kitchen made Simon grimace from where he sat on the living room couch, staring down at his clasped hands. One of his legs gyrated beneath him, bouncing anxiously--a nervous tic he’d developed from spending time with Grace. His gut felt like it was eating itself alive.
After a short beat of silence, Grace peeked his head around the kitchen entrance, his face paler than Simon had ever seen it.
“....Come again?”Simon is terrified to love, and be loved. He can't bring himself to accept his new reality, thinking it too good to be true. Surely the Eridians actually want to kidnap him and dissect him. Surely this isn't actually a home, but a glorified zoo enclosure/prison cell. Surely the other shoe will drop soon.
