This is a very unsettling and beautiful piece which explores one of my most adored AU premises, and if you are similarly intrigued by Seladon's dynamic with the skeksis I highly recommend this.

A teacher-student relationship was not unheard of. A father-son type relationship between non-blood related individuals was also not unheard of. But for Walter Strickler, whatever his relationship was with James "Young Atlas" Lake Jr. seemed to fit neither mold. So he made it a priority to find out just what it could be though deep down, he already knew what it was, much to his dismay.

A fantastic contribution to a tragically underrated ship, this story has an uneasy feeling that I love. In particular the author has a fantastic handle on Strickler's character, which in my opinion is more than enough to make it a shining star in my book. Highly recommended, especially for fans of this pair and of works with a little bit of a darker tone while not being too heavy.

He cleared his throat. “Remember when we were here before, and you said that thing about being lovers, and I said time would tell, remember that? Because it’s been, what, two weeks, and I thought maybe we should see what time had to say.”

This oneshot is well worth a read, especially if you are a fan of content that veers a bit on the darker side. It examines Michael and Eleanor through a different lens than we've been showed in the show itself, and the interpretation of their potential relationship is magnificent and brutal.
