Summary
You and your childhood best friend, Sasha Blouse, leave your small village to join the military. While Sasha easily makes friends, you make the mistake of allowing Jean Kirstein to get under your skin. What should be a friendly competition turns into a bitter rivalry. However, upon graduation, when there is a Titan attack on Jean's hometown of Trost, the petty differences must be set aside in order to survive.

The timing happens to be perfect, as Maria is invited to the castle, and you accompany her, as Strohl escorts the pair of you to the palace. As it turns out, just about everyone somehow already knows who you are.
(My first step into the Metaphor fanfic world, and I am a reader insert truther, whose heart belongs to Strohl (and Basilio a little bit too), so naturally...I had to write awkward Strohl. I feel like he'd be awkward.)

(Listen, it's been awhile since I've written ANYTHING AT ALL so pardon the lame title. I've never been good at titling stuff anyway.)
You've known Jean and the gang since college. While you've kept up with them, basically, it's been pretty minimal. You're used to being alone, and prefer to keep it that way. Secretly though, you crave companionship and real friendship beyond surface level. While at a Valentine's party hosted by Eren, you try to stay alone even among friends, but Jean won't let you this time.

Even if you are still in the same city, where everybody knows everyone, a new chapter of your life is about to start. You moved closer to your college, Trost University, you're unknown here, you've always been fine with that... until he laid his deep, soulful eyes on you, Jean Kirstein.
All you want, is to find that little spark you've lost with the destroying years of your life, and when two broken souls find each other, you never know what's going to happen.
But your peace finds itself disturbed when an anonymous stalker decides to bring up your past and in particular, that one erased memory of last spring, during a party that you forgot from start to end.
