Summary
Healy has a problem on his hands.
Usually when that happens, he can retrace his steps. He can go back and understand where that problem actually originated from. But not this time: because if Healy has to think back to when it all started, it’s really hard to find that one thread to pull on. There is no one clear starting-point, no one catalyst (catalyst, noun: a person or thing that provokes or speeds significant change or action) that could be held responsible for the weird feeling that is currently occupying his chest.
Because for one reason or another – he has fallen head over ass for his annoying, handsome, loud-mouthed, charming, alcoholic mess of a best friend.
So yeah, he’s fucked.
But he’s getting ahead of himself.

Summary
In the middle of the room, draped over the table, was a body.
For a terrifying moment Healy thought she was dead, but then the pale thighs twitched, and he was pushing his way into the room and closing the door behind him to hide the scene from anyone walking by while he dealt with... this. It wasn’t the rescue he was imagining, but Healy wasn’t about to walk away from this poor thing and leave her here, even though every part of him was screaming to find March, March, March.
Hold on, March, he thought as the door clicked shut. March would want him to stop, to save her. They were the Nice Guys. They couldn’t leave anyone behind.
Or: A dangerous gangster has taken March. When Healy comes to the rescue, he finds out March's secret.
