Endo just exhaled, his eyes going wide as a giddy grin came to his mouth. Idiot. He was an absolute idiot. What God existed for him to bow down to, what deity could ever satisfy him like this.
None. There was no God who could do such thing.
None but Chika Takiishi.
He raised his hands, cupping the view of the burning flame before of him. He could feel the heat radiating off, prodding all over his body. Oh, how he wished to be the direct focus of that heat. How good it must feel for a God to set his divine judgement on you.

He's an excellent actor, spewing lies left and right in a blink with a flawless poker face.
He constantly hides behind a mask, a fabricated version of who he is to never let anyone know his true intentions, always keeping the target second guessing.
He's become so good at it, that he ended up losing himself in the facade, forgetting that he ever had a heart in the first place.But no matter if you think about it or not, a heart doesn't stop beating.

“I knew I should have acted, done something when he dragged you off by yourself. I could have followed you, blocked his strike maybe and none of this would have happened.”
“Tecchou-san-” Jouno tries, but it’s ignored.
“No that’s not right, It should have been earlier, when you gave that child the note. Of course I noticed it, you would never torment a child for no reason despite what others think, or despite your tactics. You want to protect others, their smiles, their happiness. I should have followed the minute I felt something was off.”
