Grillby stood in the remains of an abandoned lab, in flickering dying lighting, flames banishing the shadows that creeped in around him. Clearly, no one had been in this particular part of the labs for some time.
Grillby wakes up one day suddenly remembering an entire past life- a soulmate and a family that no one knew. And he is going to get him back. No matter what it takes.
Gaster has almost settled down into this strange new life- trying to understand the Dark World around him and its strange cast of characters. -

Shadow grinning away, enjoying the company, the peace that came the nights Alastor dropped it off at the King’s door with rolled eyes, a boost of power to keep it going, and a quick rap on the door.

"You thinkin' about me?" Kattigan's deep voice rumbles near his ear. Occtis' heart leaps out of his chest. He had been too caught up in his thoughts, and hadn't seen the older man stride up next to him.
Occtis panics for a moment, unsure how to respond to that question. Yes, he had been thinking about him. He cringes– no, he can't say that. Before he can think of some acceptable lie, Kattigan laughs.
"Just fucking with you. You should have seen your face!" Kattigan's laugh and words sound light, but his gaze is intense.
"Oh." Occtis says dumbly.
Or, Occtis and Kattigan break off from the group as they're walking back to the Fang house. They end up cuddling (and more) in a tree.
