Summary
It makes a certain kind of poetic sense, having a musician--who specializes in taking you somewhere else with his songs while you’re stuck here, in the present--playing outside of a bookshop--which specializes in selling pages bound together by the hundreds that transport you to other places, other times. This young man, this Jaskier, he’s bright, he’s cheerful, he’ll draw the eye, you won’t be able to be within a hundred feet of him and not be curious, and if there are curious people standing right by a shop of curious books and other curiosities, well, the idea makes a certain kind of business sense, too.
Geralt gives a nod, short, sharp. “Just don’t block the door. And don’t make me regret this.”
Jaskier claps his hands together and squeals in delight. “No, no, I won’t, I promise. You won’t! You won’t regret this.”
Or: Bookshop owner Geralt inexplicably, in what must be a fit of temporary madness induced by the early hour and not enough caffeine, allows musician Jaskier to play outside his shop. Somewhere along the way, he starts to fall in love.

Aiden doesn’t know why he doesn’t simply tell Lambert that Vesemir is not, in fact, having a midlife crisis and shacking up with the shockingly young library volunteer. He knows that Vesemir is actually trying to present Jaskier to Geralt, neatly wrapped in a bow, so Vesemir can finally get that son-in-law he’s been angling for.
Aiden should just put Lambert out of his misery and tell him.
He doesn’t.
It’s much funnier to watch Lambert and his brothers work it out for themselves.

He responded a touch more dramatically this time to Sirius’ sudden physical appearance, though it was mostly due to the fact that his food now covered the floor. “Eat some real food and go to sleep!” Sirius’ skin prickled with a thousand fiery needles—release, release, release.
“My Cheerios,” his punished human mumbled, eyes glued to the ground forlornly.
“How can you even be functioning on this little sleep?” Sirius’ voice pitched higher and higher as he spoke. He wondered if he was capable of yanking his fake human hair out.

Sirius Black was never sorted into Gryffindor. To protect the only family he had, Sirius was sorted into Slytherin, and nothing was the same. He kept his head down, and kept his cards close to his chest as he took the Dark Mark, dropped out of school and eventually sold out his entire family and Death Eater intel during the first war. 8 years later, after fleeing to Greece with his brother and focusing on nothing but literal home improvement, Sirius finds himself back in London and enrolled in Adult Education courses to finish his schooling--including Defense Against the Dark Arts taught by none other than Remus Lupin.
Sirius could fix anything. Sirius could take care of a home, take care of his family, take care of an entire wizarding world. And Remus? He could take care of Sirius.
Rated M for swearing and some hefty dom/sub dynamic (they eventually fade out with the evolution of the fic but it is there)

Remus is a queer literature professor weary of the social world, who meets Sirius a loud and wildly popular spoken word poet who specializes in love that burns hot at both ends.
