    Summary

My second ever (in-progress) fic posted on Ao3! :D Though ngl I'm kind of at a loss where to continue after Chapter 2, so some recommendations would be GREATLY appreciated. Hope the NINAH fandom isn't too dead 🙏

    ...

In which we descend into the same devastation which pandemizes the village of Sebezh, breathe the same blackened air as the corpses that roam its ruins, and watch the same singed treeline as the fracturing Protagonist day-by-day. The only difference is... we know of the creature roaming those scorched woods. And we can do nothing to warn the Protagonist of its execrable famine.

Malady reigns. Desolation is one with the land as much as it is with the mind. Desperation is a plague itself-- but perhaps the company of a polite cadaver could ease its merciless sepsis.

Only once the Protagonist stops fighting it.

    Summary

Nighttime darkness wraps itself around the body of a tall man. It frightens him with unfamiliar rustles coming from somewhere far away, makes his heart beat faster and his knees tremble with fear of the unknown. Yet this beat also serves as direct proof that he is alive.
    He is an ordinary human.
    He came alone.
