This is a candle-lit type of slow burn. I tried to write something that doesn’t cast aside plot as it builds relationships, to make every spark feel earned. It asks for a little patience, but aims to give something deeper in return.

Summary
After the fall of Sokovia, Natasha Romanoff and Wanda Maximoff are left trying to rebuild not just their team, but themselves. Wanda is grieving her brother and adjusting to life with the Avengers. Natasha is trying to move forward, still haunted by everything she’s lost.
They form an unexpected friendship two people who understand pain too deeply, yet somehow bring out gentleness in each other.
When a HYDRA remnant resurfaces months later, a mission sends them back into the shadows they thought they’d left behind. There, they find a child a baby who was never even given a name, used by HYDRA for experiments. Saving her becomes their turning point.
They call her Amber because she’s the light they found in the dark.
Together, they’ll learn to be mothers, partners, and family surrounded by the Avengers, who become uncles, and protectors of the little girl who changed everything.

Summary
This fic has four overlapping yet distinct arcs:
Arc One: Four years after Sam Arias becomes the Director of the DEO, and two years after she marries Kara's sister, Kara finds a woman with psychic powers in an evil lair and secretly brings her home. As her new companion slowly remembers things, Kara's sister-in-law and niece become more and more suspicious.
Arc Two: A failed assassination attempt leads to Kara and her new wife adopting four children who are more closely entwined with their pasts and futures than either realize, and Kara learns her aunt is also on Earth-- a discovery which makes her headaches far more frequent...
Arc Three: Kara begins remembering parts of her childhood on Krypton she had forgotten, and now must fulfill a promise she made long ago. She receives ominous warnings of what is to come and discovers the future is very invested in her present.
Arc Four: The rise of the House of Kieran-El.

gonna be honest, there will defo be infrequent updates as i shift between stories that i usually keep in my drafts as i can never find the courage to post, but i though, fuck it, might as well, maybe it will keep the creativity flowing?
