The paramedic’s that arrive shortly after Rumi have to pry the teen from his arms, his best friend holds him back as he breaks down, watching them take his baby brother away, a pale limp hand rolling off the edge of the gurney.
A year to the day of his original attempt, Keigo finds himself sitting at his baby brother’s bedside, arms crossed tightly, chewing on his thumbnail as he stares at his sleeping baby brother. They assured him, more then once, that the teenager was still alive, the cuts to his wrists weren’t very deep, but he refused to close his eyes until he knew, he knew that Izuku was going to wake up.
