He's a man who has wandered for most of his life, fleeing a past of abuse, violence, and rejection. All because he refuses to placate Alphas with half-truths and lies, and instead always speaks his mind, especially when the lives of others are on the line because of foolish pride.
Sparks ignite between Alpha and Omega, as Ilya realizes Shane's wisdom can protect and improve his village's outdated customs and save the lives of his people and Shane realizes that Ilya might be the only Alpha who will hear and respect him, body and mind.
