“Hey, Cas,” prompted Dean from the other end of the couch.
“Hmm?”
“You horny?”
“W-what?”
“Y’heard me.”
“Dean,” said Cas flatly, “I’m a twenty year old gay man. I’m always horny.”
He’d been trying to make a joke, but Dean didn’t laugh. Instead, he lifted one leg and pushed on Cas’s thigh with his socked foot.
“I’m horny,” he said with a conspiratorial smirk.
“So?” chuckled Cas. “Join the club.”
“Well, let’s do somethin’ about it,” replied Dean in a matter-of-fact tone.
Cas wasn’t sure he’d heard right. He looked over at his friend and saw that the guy’s eyes were resting on him heavily. Dean’s foot shoved at him again. “C’mon, Cas,” he said shamelessly, “you like dick. I have a dick. Whaddaya say?”
“I say,” answered Cas, turning back to the television and praying for strength, “that you’re drunk.”
“M’not that drunk.”
“You’re drunk enough to hit on a dude,” chuckled Cas.
“I ain’t hittin’ on you,” corrected Dean, “I’m just sayin’ we could, ya know, help each other out. It don’t gotta be a big deal.”- Language:

After Sam and Dean are arrested, Castiel is left alone and scrambling to find them. He knows they’re locked away in a government facility, and he’s still able to hear their prayers, but no matter how he tries Castiel can’t seem to track them. He chases leads and even attempts to hunt on his own, but Mary is AWOL, Crowley refuses to help, and Castiel’s options are running out.
Weeks pass, Castiel’s hope dwindles, and through it all Dean prays, keeping them connected. His voice is comforting, frustrating, and occasionally annoying, but in his solitude Castiel comes to cherish it. But then one day, without warning, Dean stops praying, and Castiel is forced to confront some uncomfortable truths about his feelings.

Summary
Never in any universe did Dean figure that Angels existed. Sure, there's demons and monsters, but not Angels. And especially, as it turns out, not strange men falling from the sky with weather-changing wings and voices that sound like the creation of the universe itself. What Dean can't understand, though, is that this man that calls himself Castiel is a star-and a star that holds the secrets of the universe in his hands.
Meanwhile, Orion's Belt is missing one of its brightest stars, and Dean and Sam find themselves watching over Castiel until his wings mend and he can fly again, far away from where Dean wants him to be. Because Castiel's sudden appearance isn't accidental, not to Dean. Castiel is everything he ever wanted, inhuman or not-and Dean will do whatever it takes to make him feel at home and keep him safe, for as long as it takes, until Orion calls Castiel home.

Wherein Dean makes a hefty living as a tattoo artist who owns the space next to Gabriel's cafe. Sam attends the local university. When Gabe's cousin comes to live with him while starting grad school at Sam's university, Dean thinks for sure that all his negative karma's coming to bite him in the ass because Cas clearly has a thing for Sam. No one would ever choose him over Sam. That's just logic.
