The Sea of Souls isn’t like the ocean. The water there isn’t water; it’s everything else, thick in his lungs, all-consuming. Mydei claws at his neck. Sucks in breath after breath, only to never catch it. It isn’t wet because this isn’t a true sea, it’s a dry sort of drowning that leaves him gasping for relief. He’s full, so full; of souls, of pain and anguish, of terror, of—
Mydei jerks awake to a different sort of fullness.
Mydei knows the drill--cold morning, lazing in bed, waking up with a dick in him.

“Goodnight, Phainon,” Mydei says, a touch gentler, pushing off the railing and heading back to the door.
He can just barely hear Phainon’s soft, “Goodnight, Mydeimos,” before he’s shutting the chamber door behind him.
Or: a mutual, unprompted kiss is left unresolved. Mydei and Phainon aren't quite sure how to breach the subject.

"Keep quiet," Kaveh reminds him, his breath hot and his voice so low it almost sounds like a growl, and Alhaitham shudders from how quickly the goosebumps form all over his body. There is a logical explanation for most things in this world, but he will never understand how this one person can turn him into a complete mess within mere seconds.
"I will," he whispers, and he means it, even though he still doesn't care if anyone can hear them. But if Kaveh can withhold all his most delicious sounds, so can he.
After a week apart, Kaveh and Alhaitham are as horny as can be, but with Cyno and Tighnari in the next room, Kaveh is worried about making too much noise.

His hands play with the hem of the shirt before slipping underneath to find the bare skin of Kaveh’s toned abdomen. Alhaitham knows of the stars and the blood-stained past of their land. He knows of legends, myths, and truths. He knows of archons and devils. Alhaitham is a wise man with extensive knowledge on many things and he has never been shy to show it.

This wasn't what he wanted to be. He was the Light of Ksharewar! Kaveh wasn't supposed to sulk in his bed and cry because... What? He was lonely? He was upset that their dinner had been interrupted? He didn't like the mood it had put Alhaitham into? Was he so delicate and fragile now that the slightest of things made him tumble into a pit of despair?
Pathetic. His mind whispered to him, causing his eyes to go heavy-lidded and burn.
Most nights are fine. Most nights are warm and filled with the scent of fresh Padisarahs. However some nights are full of shadowed corners, haunting whispers, and the overwhelming sense of isolation.
