[Geordi dragged his android’s head into his lap and tried his best to swallow the asteroid-sized lump forming in his throat. If he didn’t know better… It sounded like Data was trying to convince himself of that, too.
“Data,” he asked, running his hands through the other man’s hair, “I know what you’re gonna say, but are you… scared, right now?”]
Geordi and Data find themselves trapped planetside (because time is nothing but a flat circle) and Data finds himself with an injury that requires he shut down. In theory, a simple solution to slow the degradation of his systems. In reality? It's a bit more complicated than that.

The first thing that Iida Tenya noticed about the man that fell in his forest that wasn’t his first aid training (two thick lacerations to the back, many thin scratches all over, eyes tired, signs of fatigue-) was that he was incredibly light for his build. Iida expected him to be heavier, and yet he almost jerked him up when he finally lifted him from his landing. Iida thought it could mean something worse, like malnutrition, so it only made him hurry to reach his farmhouse just a short walk away.

Choice // WishThe Star Festival was always a bright spot in Izuku's life, one day each year where his mom and him would set aside all their worries, dress up, enjoy the festival, and make a wish.
This year, Izuku had friends to go with, and the same wish he'd been writing down each year since he was four had miraculously come true, but all he could think about since he'd asked Iida what he'd wished for was the curt reply and closed-off expression on his friend's face he'd gotten in response before Iida disappeared into the crowd. Hours later, worry still aching in his chest, Izuku glimpsed Iida alone in a clearing, tears rolling down his cheeks, and couldn't stop himself from intervening.

The hand Bakugo used to manhandle his head into position has no right looking that gentle; his hands were never meant for gentleness to begin with, but to see his holding Kirishima's cheek like that... To see the way Kirishima is looking at him...

Even so, one of the most important things that the three years spent at Yuuei taught him is that plans often tend to crash and burn in the face of unpredictable factors. What Iida isn’t used to, though, is shooting himself in the foot – and that’s precisely what he’s doing now, standing just outside a school gate, with Midoriya looking expectantly at him. Sunlight is catching in his hair and there are cherry petals falling to the ground all around them.
It’s all so not helping the situation. Iida wants to shake his past self for thinking it’d be a good idea to choose today to do this.
