Summary
Dunk arrives at Summerhall expecting to feel out of place.
He does not expect Room 47, midnight conversations, or Aerion Targaryen - vicious, clever, impossible to understand, and somehow always there.
Or, a boarding school AU where Dunk and Aerion are roommates, enemies, and very definitely becoming something worse. -

Summary
Aerion’s gaze lingered. He had watched Duncan the Tall for years. It was a habit he had never cared to examine too closely, and saw no cause to begin now. The man was difficult to ignore, if only for his size, and there was something in the way he held himself—solid, unyielding—that drew the eye whether one wished it or no. Tonight, that solidity had softened at the edges.
An AU in which Duncan is raised at court, and Aerion mistakes the shape of his own wanting for something else—until it refuses to be mistaken any longer.

Summary
Sirius Black has never been good at fitting in.
Born into a family defined by cruelty and expectation, he carries scars that no magic can heal. Estranged from his name yet unable to escape its shadow, Sirius throws himself into the Order of the Phoenix — a place where loyalty, friendship, and purpose might finally take root. But even here, things aren’t simple. His family ties mark him as suspect, his recklessness makes him difficult to trust, and the war itself demands more than anyone can give.As Voldemort’s forces rise and the safe walls of the Order’s sanctuary grow thinner by the day, Sirius finds himself caught between brutal missions, the weight of loss, and the fragile bonds that both sustain and unravel him. And at the heart of it all is Remus Lupin — a man marked by his own curse, whose guarded strength challenges Sirius to see himself differently, even as secrets and silences threaten to pull them apart.
A canon divergent retelling of the First Wizarding War, told through the conflicted heart of Sirius Black, in which Remus Lupin never went to Hogwarts.

Summary
Aerion found himself thinking, with a flicker of malicious interest, that simple men often revealed the most interesting edges when cut open properly. Dunk, for all his size and plainness, had one of those faces that did not hide pain well. Aerion had seen enough of him already to know the knight carried things in him and around him with the stubbornness of a pack mule. He did not ask much, it seemed. He endured, and he answered, and he went where he was told. A man like that might prove surprisingly stubborn when taken apart.
Or useful.
“You’ll grow tired of this,” Aerion said, after a dull few moments of quiet. This time the answer came at once.
“I don’t tire easy.”
Or: After the trial of seven, Aerion is sent to a monastery for punishment rather than exiled to Lys. Dunk goes with him, because of course he does.Bookmarked by OccasionallyThriving

Summary
Remus is a PhD student and hobbyist baker who finds himself adrift following his father’s death. On a whim, he enters the Great British Bake Off and is swept up in a flurry of curdled custard, shrunken souffle, and under-proved dough. Remus expects to be challenged and to embarrass himself on public television. What he doesn’t account for are the friendships he develops with the other contestants and the deep connection he forms with his teenage crush, Sirius Black: charming ex-boy band member and Bake Off presenter.
or,
Sirius groans, dropping his head back into his hands. “It’s the dough,” he mumbles into the skin of his palms. “It’s the kneading. It’s his hands. They’re obscene.”
Lily laughs. “They are a bit, aren’t they?”

Summary
It was a messy thing of leather and papers and rope. It looked like Phillips had carelessly thrown a bunch of documents onto an old piece of black leather and then rolled the whole thing up and tied it . . . The papers inside were all different sizes, everything out of order and haphazardly stacked, like someone had been in a hurry and just grabbed it all.
