Summary
The water ebbs around them, slow and tranquil, but the storm raging inside Will is anything but.
All he sees are Mike’s eyes as he closes the gap. A drop of water rolls down his neck, disappearing into the naked line of his collarbone.
“Say no if you don’t want me to,” he murmurs. “Push me back.”
Or, Will gets swept into Mike’s irresistible pull after a single night that changes their friendship forever. Late night talks turn into even later night kisses, friendly nudges to intoxicating touches, and the creaking of bedsprings now means something other than the return of Will's nightmares. “Okay,” Mike said slowly, trying to keep his voice calm, “we’ll figure it out step by step. No pressure. I’ll… I’ll help you practice control, see how far you can go without, you know, frying the house.”
Will peeked up at him, just enough to see the shy smile tugging at Mike’s lips. “I… I don’t even know if that’ll work,” he admitted, voice soft. “What if it doesn’t? What if it just keeps happening?”
Mike shook his head firmly. “It will work. And if it doesn't, we’ll find something else. We always do.”
Will’s lips quirked in the faintest hint of a smile. “You’re right. We always do.”
Mike leaned forward, careful not to crowd him, “First we need to try to find a way to turn the lights back on. Reverse what you did. Do you think you can–” He gestures towards Will’s crotch, a blush crossing his cheeks, “--Go again?”OR: Will finds himself unable to control his new powers when he gets aroused. Every time he gets "excited," strange things happen with the power. He tries to convince himself it's a coincidence, but when he finishes, and the power goes completely out, he begins to panic.
His panic takes him straight to Mike's window, and Mike offers a helping hand. In a best friend way, of course.- Language:

Summary
“I thought sex was something you had to do once you got married. You figure out how to want and do it then.”
Mike sounded so sure, but so much of it stuck out to Will. “Figure out” like desiring it was something you had to make happen. “Had to do” like sex was an obligation, a sentence to be carried out.
“Mike, being intimate with someone is supposed to be a positive experience,” Will corrected, concerned but kind. “It’s supposed to feel good.”
When Mike looked even more confused, Will realized this discussion could change Mike’s entire outlook on what sexuality was supposed to be.When Will gives Mike sex ed because he feels things a little differently and never got the right explanations, he finds out Mike is going to need 'demonstrations'. Slivers of moments show this could lead to something more, and words, touches, and kisses are exchanged that don’t have a defined value yet. In an exploration of sexuality, affection, and different shades of love, Mike is quietly discovering himself, not changing. If it works, it’ll be beautiful. If it doesn’t, there’s no telling what comes next. Oh well. Go big or go home. And he’s already stuck at home with Mike Wheeler.

Summary
“I want to explore that.”
The sentence shocks Will just as much as himself, and both of them freeze again. Mike’s mouth dries up further, if even possible, and he swallows hard to get some moisture back in his throat. His grip stays tight on Will, and Will can only, very slowly, turn his head back to somewhat look at Mike. The look on both their faces is equally mortified, and Will blinks a few times in disbelief.
“What?”
Somewhat catching his composure — and realising that there’s no turning back now — Mike stares at him and and presses on.
“Your neck. The — the sensitivity there. I — we should explore that.”
Will and Mike slip into an innocent, comfortable routine during which Will paints on Mike, and it soon turns into something more intimate than they can handle. Offering to help with the uncomfortable sensitivity of Will's neck, Mike starts to touch him there, saying they can condition Will to associate the sensation with something pleasant instead of feelings and visuals of the past.
What Mike doesn't know, however, is that the underlying reason for his sudden interest in said dynamic is just as hard to grasp as paint running through fingers.
