I’m honestly writing this because I’ve had this as an idea for months now. I wrote this to be a way to bridge gen 4 and gen 5 in a way to find come up with what might’ve happened in those events to lead up to gen 5 because obviously something happened.

Summary
Despite Friede's return, Liko can't help feeling... hurt. His loss had destroyed a part of her, and learning he was safe all along was both relieving and infuriating.
One day, on a train to Lumiose to investigate a Laquium infected Pokemon reported in the city, Liko's train is hit with a severe blizzard out of the blue, freezing the tracks and toppling the train. The Rising Volt Tacklers learn of the crash and attempt to investigate, only to find the city overrun by a constant blizzard, too intense to approach the city borders.
Liko, with the help of Team MZ and her Charcadet, work to discover what is causing this eternal winter, while Friede returns in a panic upon hearing of Liko's (potential) fate. Tensions rise as the blizzard gets stronger and Friede realizes what he forced his team through in his year of absence.
