"Will!" Mike crashes to the ground next to him. Gets a good look at him.
Wills eyes are dazed slightly. They latch on to Mike anyways and he seems to sag with relief. The blood from Wills nose falls onto his lip. Into his mouth.
"That was- that was amazing!" Mike brings his sleeve up and wipes the blood away. He opens his arms and lets Will collapse against him, head resting on Mikes chest and Mike doesn't even think twice about how intimate it should feel.

After a brutal fight with his drunken father, Steve regains awareness to find the man unmoving on the floor and a bloody fireplace poker beside him. Terrified and in shock, he flees to Hopper’s cabin. Hopper takes him in, and Steve breaks down, confessing that he acted in self-defense but lost control and admits he killed his father. As he finally unravels, he realizes the whole group consisting of Dustin, Lucas, Will, Max, Eleven, Joyce, Jonathan, and Nancy, overheard everything. Horrified and panicking, Steve tries to escape, convinced they’ll fear him, while Hopper and the others try to steady and support him

Summary
The hospital, like the city, is larger than anticipated. Steve had traveled to about every corner of the US by the age of thirteen, tried every fine wine over the price of several thousands by sixteen, followed his parents from the edge of Cancún to the center of Denmark in the summer by eighteen. And yet- he found himself staring openly at the building before him, feet planted firmly in the middle of the parking lot as if he’d never seen something so utterly huge, so daunting.
Twenty five stories, curved wide around him into what he could only describe as half an arena, towering, waiting for him to dare to come and fight for what was rightfully his- something he had never asked for in the first place. His life.
There’s cars coming and going- patients, families, doctors and nurses going home and some just starting their days paying no mind to him at all. Flowing around him like an everyday obstacle, like it was no surprise for some sick kid to be gazing upward in what might be awe, what might just be fear.
