He focused his energy inward, muscles contracting toward his spine, torso forming into a fortress around the secrets of Lan Wangji. He strode across the room, full of intent, layering suppressed passion into his movement.
Yibo was transfixed. He spun, swinging his arm out with an imaginary sword, and then leaped, landing a little heavier than he intended. The next leap was right, full of grace and urgency, and Yibo bounded around the room, launching his body again and again to land between Xiao Zhan and danger.
