    While the Valar were figuring out how to read a calendar, Freya did the math. She got to review the homework before taking the test this time, which was nice, but that made the most likely endgame obvious. She knew from the second she offered to do it that reverse fetch-questing an evil ring was going to be rough. She was trying anyway. Because she was very, very stupid.

    She expected to pay a high price for the chance to stay.
    She didn’t expect there to be an extra cost at the end.
    Or for them to both pay it.

    • Глубина, логика и внятный обоснуй отсутствуют, зато авторские рояли, жанровые штампы, сахар, слезы, дурные шуточки и, разумеется, воттакенный хэппиэндище — очень даже присутствуют (а иначе зачем все мы здесь сегодня собрались).
    • Приквел к этой истории, написанный в совсем другой тональности (без которого, в принципе, и так все понятно) — «Константин».

Robotnik never thought he’d willingly take a superpowered space hedgehog into his home, let alone get attached to that superpowered space hedgehog and start coparenting him with his loyal sycophant turned partner in crime, but here they are. Most surprising of all, Robotnik finds he wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.
