Summary
Aerion looked up at the roof above him before letting his eyes close gently. Suddenly, he was back in the Ashford mud, looking up at the hedge knight. He only had one blue eye open, but it contained enough anger and resentment for Aerion, enough to haunt Aerion for the lingering months since then.
“Yield,” the hedge knight had demanded.
Aerion Brightflame had been struck with fear, violet eyes stained with tears. He opened his mouth, letting the regretful words fall out.
I yield.
Aerion’s eyes remained closed, his breathing sharp. His mouth hung open, and one word slipped out, a name that Aerion had sworn to forget before it would burn him alive.
“Duncan.”
Months have passed since Aerion Targaryen had returned back to King's Landing, but the events of Ashford had not left him. Desperate to prove himself, or looking for some escape, he drinks wildfire. But he did not turn into a dragon. Instead, it only burned him. Left in all the mess he has made, there is only one name he will speak, only one man he wishes to see, one knight he knows will have it in him to bring him death.

Aerion Targaryen - also known as Brightflame - was dead certain that he was a dragon in human form. So, the absolute logical next step in his mind was to drink wildfire. He just needed some heat to start his transformation, right?
Nope.
That fateful day, Aerion died screaming, burning from the inside.
Death came as a salvation.He almost made peace with it. What he didn't expect was to be sent back to the past, with no piece of advice or a single word from the gods. Was this simply a test? Or another chance at life to alter his fate? Aerion had no idea. But he was absolutely sure about one thing; he would make a certain hedge knight's life a living hell - the man who ruined everything.

Summary
