That, and the simple viscerality of tattooing and piercing is…grounding. The dreams never go away, and sometimes she needs to be reminded which life is hers and which belongs to some other Mia, living some other life.
There's a noise from outside, and Mia's pointy ears twitch. Two voices, lurking outside the door — one soft and husky, the other a low bass rumble. She recognises both.

Summary
The problem is that Resolve is…well, she's boring! She doesn't like sportsball, or running around, or roughhousing. She likes to sit quietly and play dolls, or read books — proper chapter books that are meant to be for older kids.
She's nice, at least, although she's not the same type of nice as Tammy. Tammy's sensitive, cries easily. Resolve…she can tell Resolve gets mad. She can see her fists clench and a muscle jump in her jaw and she thinks yes, you're just like me, come on and prove it.

For the "Secret Admirer" prompt for Exo Week 2026. On the surface, sporty tomboy Anemone and gentle, feminine Resolve couldn't be more different. Or at least, Anemone thinks so. What could they possibly have in common?

Summary
Sol kicks out a chair, and rummages in his desk drawer for a spare mug. "Can't believe Elysium's five already," he says, filling the mug with milky blep, "good idea bringing her here to get familiar with the schoolhouse."
Vace accepts the mug, absentmindedly folding his large hands around it. "I can't believe it either," he replies gruffly, "I can't believe she exists, and isn't—" he breaks off, making an abortive gesture.

Vace takes his daughter to visit the colony's schoolhouse, ahead of her first day at school. For Exo Week 2026.

Sym hums. "No," he says, "I am still learning about many things. But for someone who lives as we Gardeners do, the idea of an individual being irretrievably gone is not one that comes naturally to us. I still don't fully understand…I think I won't until someone close to me dies. I will, perhaps, be the first of my kind to experience that grief."

Summary
A series of connected fics for I Was A Teenage Exocolonist. Mostly postcanon, dealing with the aftermath of the Peace on Vertumna ending and concerned with following the cast into their twenties and beyond. Themes include: reconnecting with your younger self, queerplatonic/unconventional relationship structures, platonic and familial love, grief, and the growing up that gets done after you're already an adult. Not QUITE a fix-it, because I do make some of the characters get worse before they get better. Some of the fics stand on their own, but they're all in conversation with each other.
First and foremost, though: this is a love story. Not necessarily a romantic one, but a love story nonetheless. It is comprised of three mostly-chronological story arcs: "Beekeeper", "Mineshaft", and "Childlore", each with three stories each, plus the side-story collection "The B Sides".

Summary
A self-contained arc within "Children's Work", following Rex, Anemone, and Vace as they deal with the cycles of harm that characterised their coming-of-age, and whether (and how) to move on from them.
Contains three installments: "you're built to balance on two feet", "four chambers just a standard issue" and "rather be six feet under than be lonely".

This Consolation kid is somehow even weirder than the average Strato loser, but if she's gonna insist on playing with fire, Vace will keep turning up the heat.
Turns out, Sol may be a little too hot to handle.
Or: Sol can fix Vace? No, they can make each other worse.

Summary
Sol swears, sometimes they can almost remember them. A desperate need arises inside them to know this enigmatic absence that Sym had loved once, even for all the ruin it brought to the planet.Wasn't that a lot like loving Sol?
There is so much disaster they were/are/will be capable of. And that's just the fraction of the truth; the fraction they can recall. Maybe they want this so they can be sure that he doesn't secretly hate them, too, for this capacity for destruction so intrinsic to their personage as it is to all sapient organic life. Or maybe just to know that some small part of him does. That would be okay, too. They just have to know.
