Summary
Going on a field trip was typically the best part about school. Until that field trip led Midtown High to Stark Industries. The one place in all of New York City that Peter’s classmates and teachers didn’t believe he interned for. When accusations of forgery surface, Peter is facing expulsion from Midtown and a permanent black mark on his record that could make it impossible for him to get into any University. If there was one thing Tony Stark was not going to stand for. It was his kid being called a liar and having his future at risk. One thing is for certain, Midtown High was not prepared for this field trip.

one of the best -- if not THE best -- field trip fics... but not just a field trip fic... drama until the very end... love how flash got his comeuppance... tony absolutely adores peter but stays true to character throughout the story (except on a couple of occasions which are really sweet)... confrontations are EPIC... god i love this

Summary
Flash Thompson had bullied Peter Parker for as long as anyone at Midtown could remember. It wasn’t complicated. Peter was small, distracted, nerdy, and way too easy to piss off. Flash didn’t exactly think of himself as a villain—he just thought of himself as superior. Some people were meant to shine brighter; some people were meant to be stepped on.
Or at least that was what he told himself.
The truth was more embarrassing: there was something about Peter that got under his skin. Something that reminded him of things he didn’t want to remember—being small, unheard, underestimated. So he pushed those reminders down and shoved Peter along with them.

good characterization of flash -- kid who wants to protect peter but he's still just a kid; ending was kind of abrupt and didn't really match the vibe of the story; definitely worth a re-read

Summary
What should have been a treat in payment for watching baby TJ turns into a nightmare when Ellie inadvertently sees something upsetting in a movie. Unfortunately for everyone Tommy handles the situation really badly, triggering a series of events that firmly drives a wedge between Tommy and Joel. Ellie just wants to pretend that nothing happened and move on, but Joel is determined to punish her newly found uncle for his actions towards her. In an attempt to return everything to how it was before Ellie hatches a plan to make the Miller brothers talk to each other. What should have been a simple mission turns unexpectedly deadly leaving Tommy and Ellie alone and in danger. Will they survive, and more importantly, will the Miller family ever be the same again?
TLDR: Tommy fucks up, Ellie gets more trauma to add to her already impressive pile, Tommy is an asshole, Joel wants to kill Tommy, Ellie is forced to take drastic measures because Miller men are idiots, Tommy and Ellie are in danger.

Summary
Ellie’s head is pounding as she drinks her water and waits for Marlene to come back.
She doesn’t really know what to think. She and Joel spent months traversing the country and going through hell to get to this Firefly hospital, but now that they’ve made it, it’s underwhelming.
Ellie has a bump on the back of her head from where they knocked her out after she lost her goddamn mind when she was snatched away from Joel. She knows she stabbed at least two people, felt the knife sink into their thighs or sides or wherever she hit, but she didn’t do as much damage as she’d have liked before they took somewhat-extreme action and smacked her hard over the head.
She’s antsy. It’s been at least ten minutes since Marlene left, and she said she’d be right back.
Ellie’s first question when she woke up on the hospital bed was “Where’s Joel?” And the answer she got back – “Getting checked over downstairs” – was unhelpful and much too vague for her liking.
Why couldn’t they get checked out together? They both got struck on the head, it seems like the same doctor could look at them both.
Something feels off.
(Ellie and Joel get to the Firefly hospital, but things play out a little differently)

joel is such A GOOD DAD... ellie and joel have infinite love and respect for each other... this has got everything: angst, violence, hurt, comfort - just so so sweet... beautiful ending :D
