Summary
The living room was real and warm. The people had hearts beating in their chests and five fingers on each hand. Dylan was not Jax, not a purple rabbit, and he had no need to hide everything in his mind.
Despite it all, Pomni was there. He’d always want her there.

“Uh-uh, don’t deflect." Robin scolds him. "You’re going to shoot your shot.”
Steve snorts so hard it hurts. “That would be creepy and unprofessional. And I sort of kind of did.”
Robin lets her jaw drop dramatically before making grabby hands at his phone. “You have to let me see. What did you say, ‘Hey remember when you gave me a lap dance for a music video, let’s do it again sometime?’”
“Ugh, god, when you say it like that, I regret sending him anything at all.” Steve holds his phone over his head to keep it out of Robin’s arms reach. “All I said was,—oh, he. He responded.”
Steve: hey, you are killing it on ur tour, seems like so much fun. wishing u the best!💙
Eddie: thats smth an estranged ex would say
Eddie: you have to fuck me at least once before u get to text me like thatRobin has tucked herself under his chin to see his DMs. “Oh my god, Steve.”
“I didn’t think he would see it,” Steve says dumbly, staring at the screen.

Nineteen.
'Ugh. Come on!' Steve yells with his head thrown back. 'I don’t even care anymore I just want to roll a twenty once!'
'Well a nineteen is still fair game, Harrington. Take your pick. I might even raise the bar for a twenty if you think you can handle it.' Eddie says, voice pitched low. Steve is only dazed for half a second, thank you very much."Eddie teaches Steve all about D&D dice. What they're for, and how they're used. He challenges Steve to roll anything higher than a 15 for a reward of his choice.

Jonathan,
Checking to see if I got the right address for you guys. Just in case, you know?
And I thought you'd want to know that even though the kids miss Will and El a lot they're getting by OK so far. Everybody is a little quieter but Mike isn't showing any signs of deppression which I know was like a legitimate concern. But you probably already hear about him from Nancy so I'm sure you already knew.
Anyways you don't have to write back if you just put a big check mark over this paper and do the "return to sender" thing or whatever that works and I'll know you got it.
Thanks,
Steve -

Eddie fumbled his way into Rise and Grind, the poor coffee shop had the disservice of being neighbors with Convicted Ink. He truly wasn't sure how to even order this shit, but if getting his shitty boss and his little minions caffeine was going to get him into a fucking chair to actually tattoo, fine. It was fine.
----
Or, Eddie is an apprentice at a terrible tattoo shop and the only thing that keeps him sane, is the pretty barista at the coffee shop next door.

Summary
In the City of Hawkins lies a small cafe on the corner of 4th street that Steve Harrington owns with his best friend.
Far from the broken life he once knew, Steve has become compliant in a comfortable but lonely life. He's happy to work every day in the city he's grown to love, with nothing more than a pillow to greet him at home.
Steve should have known, though, that trouble follows him wherever he goes. And with a new face in town, Steve will have to reevaluate everything he knows, including his view on love.
****
Steve glanced at Eddie, who was now reading his cup in amusement. As he saw Steve’s curious glance, he turned the coffee around, putting Steve’s handwriting into view.
Steve almost died on the spot. Right there, in Steve’s loopy handwriting, was the word ‘trouble.’
Eddie laughed, raising an eyebrow. "Guess I’ll make sure to bring trouble back around.”
Steve knew at that moment he had stirred up more than sugar in Eddie’s cup. -

“Yeah.”

Summary
Will Byers is fifteen years old, and there is a monster living in his chest.
It's been there for awhile, over two years now. It was quiet for a lot of that, sleeping maybe, save for an occasional low, throaty growl rumbling beneath Will's heartbeat, or a provoked stretch in which the edge of its nails grazed lightly across Will's ribcage. But for the past few months, something has shaken the beast into emergence from its lengthy hibernation.
He's getting to know the monster well. If Will drew it, it would be a dark, bristled creature, clawed and fanged with green, green eyes.
part i. is a general Will coming out, coming to terms, etc. fic taking place in high school. It can be read on its own.
part ii. is college era, and gets into the ship pairing. -

“I’ll be there though!”
Lucas smiles bitterly. “Yeah, you and no one else.”
Will blinks. “What do you mean? We’re all going.”
“First I’m hearing of it, then.”
“Of course we’re all going, Lucas! This is your big game! We’d be crazy to miss it.”
“Yeah, except Mike and Dustin are blowing it off to go to the last Hellfire meeting.”
Will’s mouth opens, closes, opens again, closes again. His stomach flips and makes him feel empty and sick all at once.
