Summary
“All right, Coran,” he gave himself a pep talk. “The princess and the Paladins are in danger. You are their only hope.” Coran paled in the face of his words. Oh Alaraan. He was their only hope. Well then. He straightened. That was that and that meant there was only one possible outcome. He was going to save his team. / The castle is invaded and the Paladins rounded up. Coran though is overlooked and he’s going to take full advantage of it. This is his home and those aliens are going to regret ever stepping foot in it.

Summary
Voltron was requested to lead peace negotiations between two warring parties. Well, technically the Alteans were requested. No one thought anything of such particular wording. They should have. Because now the natives are hunting Shiro’s party consisting of himself, Lance and Keith with the ultimate goal to turn Lance into the image of one of their revered Altean gods. And as if running through a jungle planet with no supplies and no way off wasn’t hard enough, now Lance is sick, burning up with a fever they have no way to combat. The natives might not be their most dangerous enemy out here after all.
Or, the sick!fic with so much angst and whump you could drown in it. Literally.

Summary
Lance’s arms were trembling and his legs felt like jelly and there was an ache building in his chest where his breath came in sharp pants as he wrapped up the training simulation. His score was lower than before. Not good enough. He had to do better. He had to be better. “Again,” he whispered, panted, summoning another round. And again. And again. He couldn’t stop, wouldn’t stop, until he was better. But with that goal... he might never stop at all.

Summary
Lance has never liked the quiet and he likes it even less on this big, empty castle far away from home. He tries to fill it with stories and laughter so it doesn't feel quite as lonely.
But lately whenever Lance opens his mouth all he seems to do is upset people, annoy people and now… now he’s hurt them too. So there’s only one solution.
He just won’t ever talk again.

Summary
Going to the beach had been a mistake. Homesickness had spurred Lance to it but now it’s crashing down as surely as the waves and threatening to drown him. And if that gnawing, painful ache wasn’t bad enough, now Keith has caught him crying. But to Lance’s surprise, maybe… maybe this wasn’t such a mistake after all.

Summary
Keith finds Lance suffering a bout of food poisoning. Lance doesn’t want him there and Keith knows he should just go to the banquet as planned, but… but he can’t just leave when Lance is this sick and all alone in a foreign palace. So no matter what Lance says… he’s staying.

Summary
Lance is well aware he's the weak link on Team Voltron. He knows he's not the brightest. But he's not stupid. And he's always thought that even despite his shortcomings he had not just a place with Voltron, but friends who would look out for him just as he would do for them.
But that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. While there's no knife to stab him in the back, the ones his friends wield with their cruel, heartless words cuts just as deep. And by the time Lance realizes that something is wrong, that these people are not his friends, it's too late.
The feast has begun.

Summary
This diplomatic mission is not going the way Lance had hoped. The diplomacy part on behalf of Voltron is going fantastic and Lance doesn’t think he’d be remiss in saying he had a large hand in that. But the whole impress Shiro bit is an epic fail as Shiro doesn’t seem to notice his efforts at all and it’s only worse with Keith showing him up at nearly every turn. The aliens they’re working on the alliance though have noticed his efforts. But as Lance stands here now, Shiro and Keith’s lives along with a vial of poison in his hands, he isn’t so certain that was a good thing.

Summary
Voltron is dispatched to a planet to protect them from a violent group of aliens who, notably, also enjoy eating other sentient aliens. If that wasn't horrific enough, there's the pack of essentially intelligent space coyotes to fight against too and Lance and Hunk find themselves overwhelmed by sheer numbers and snapping teeth and long claws.
And those teeth and claws? They rip Lance apart.
It's now up to Hunk to save Lance from the gruesome wound, the coyotes and, of course, the aliens who are looking at Lance like he's a five-star gourmet dinner.

Summary
Keith is part-Galran. It’s a recently discovered, cold, hard fact that has him feeling even more like an outsider than ever before.
And someone else has discovered it too. But unlike Keith, they are excited for this development.
Because as their research has shown, halfblood Galrans make the best conduits for quintessence gathering and this specific halfblood, touched by the fire of Voltron, is all they could have ever hoped for.
Kidnapping it is easy enough, and they take along its loud-mouthed non-halfblood companion that foolishly tried to stop them so they have someone to care for their halfblood after they burn it and drain its quintessence each day.
And oh… they love to burn it so.

Summary
Apparently, Lance and Shiro discover, the locals aren’t the only one who like their sacred bananas. And one would think a bear liking fruit would be a good thing but this bear, based on the double rows of canines and the way it is literally licking its chops and salivating as it looks at them, looks like he also enjoys a little protein.
And Lance and Shiro are on the menu.

Summary
While the day of activities Shiro planned for team Voltron started off because of homesickness and his desire to give everyone a sense of normalcy, he’s realizing it’s not actually so simple. Because today is also about being part of a team and maybe, by the end, being part of a family.
“We all did a great job,” Hunk said, his gaze going around the table. “And Keith, man,” and Keith gave a small start at the address, “you can cook!”
“I cooked!” Lance protested.
“You stirred a pot,” Pidge rolled her eyes, “and shelled beans. Keith cooked,” as Keith had taken over the meat and spices.
“So?”
But Lance was smiling rather than pouting and he gave Keith’s shoulder a bump.

Summary
space is not merciful to the kind-hearted. space is cold, and it expects you to become cold as well, because that is what countless others have done and now the art of gentleness and peace has long since faded into the fabric of war. it makes exceptions for nobody, not even the children that emerged as heroes.
space is not kind to those who are kind in return. space is bitter and hurting and blood-stained and coldly beautiful and it turns it’s back on those who reach out for it with hope in their hearts and stars in their veins.
OR
Blue knows that something is changing in her Paladin. He is souring and thinning and becoming something other.
She feels it through him - the ground is hard under his feet and the air is thin and his heart beats too quickly and his bones sit awkwardly and he isn’t right. His thoughts are scrambled, his chest is hollow. He talks to her, and she lets him, but she knows that it’s a countdown until something goes horribly, horribly wrong.
She can do nothing but watch.

Summary
Lance knows his close quarters combat isn’t the best, so when Shiro tells Lance he’s going to train him he should be relieved because maybe now he can actually protect his team. Except the training seems to be more of a beatdown punctuated by both fists and cruel words and now Lance has to hide the results of such before he makes tensions in Voltron even worse. But that’s harder than planned on as Keith is both very observant and very, very concerned.
“Do you think the Galra Empire will care that you’re tired?” Shiro interrupted him. “Do you think they’ll go easy on you because you’ve been fighting all day?”
“No, but—”
“There are no buts, Lance,” Shiro cut him off. “Either you want to be a Paladin your team can count on or you don’t.”

Summary
“Your life for his, Champion.” The note was accompanied by a bloodstained rock that Shiro could picture smashing into the back of Lance’s head as the boy sat there, sick with fever and unaware of the danger.
His life or Lance’s.
Shiro knew the only answer he could live with (even if it was apparently going to be for a very, very short time).
And he took off running.
