Summary
Over time, they began to adapt to the vast, empty expanse of the pocket dimension you called the Heroes Screen.
Not only that, but they learned how to subtly manipulate the space itself—managing to bring over small pieces of their belongings. Slowly, the Heroes Screen started to feel less like an oppressive white void and, honestly, more like a backstage dressing room waiting for a cue.

“What the hell are ya doin’ up?” Logan didn’t mean for his words to come out as a growl, but they did. He could see Kurt flinch at the force of them, shadows dancing across his face as he ducked away from the hallway’s light, but still Logan couldn’t choke back his snarl. “Yer supposed ‘t be on bed rest.”
“Well, don’t you have something you are supposed to be doing?” Kurt raised an eyebrow, his golden eyes fixated on Logan. “You usually clean up after a battle, or… or something, at least.”
“I’m supposed ‘t be checkin’ on you,” Logan rumbled, his voice still low.
Kurt’s eyebrow raised further. “Really?”

he remembers this heaviness, the kind that pins your wrists to the ground. as he emerges from his comatose daze, kurt is met with the plain hindrance of consciousness and anesthetic, and the alarming realization that his limbs do not obey him.
or, kurt is sedated, like he has been so many times before, many years ago. waking up makes him wonder how much of his life has just been part of a lucid dream.
