“I think I might be gay.”
Mel's eyebrows rose. She wasn't expecting that.
“Okay, let's take a big breath here.” He followed her instructions, his shoulders relaxed somewhat. “Although there is no problem, if that's correct—don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong if you are gay. But I was under the impression you liked women.”
At least he was very attracted to Mel. And very enthusiastic about it too. Some things you couldn't hide.
Frank sighed and dragged a hand through his face. “I do.” He agreed.
“And correct me if I'm wrong— which I might, because I'm just basing this on assumptions—” Frank squeezed her hand back, looking at her like he did when she spiraled. She nodded. “Right. You don't seem very attracted to men.”
Frank shook his head. “Not in particular, no.” He agreed.
Mel was completely confused at this point.
“Can I ask you why you think you're gay, then?”

I want a fic showing what this would look like. Doesn't matter if he's just pretending or if it's real, or maybe he doesn't even know himself. Enough people think it's real for it to "get off the ground." How do his friends react? How does Paul react? Doesn't have to be endgame John/Paul, but I'd like that. Mostly I want to see John dancing and flirting in gay clubs. (Maybe Elton's showing him around at first?)

Dennis didn’t think it would be too outlandish to theorize that Trinity herself had planned this terrible storm. Maybe she had even conspired with their landlord to not fix the heating in their decrepit building, forcing them to find other places to hunker down so as to not freeze to death. It certainly was a pointed choice for her to stay at Garcia's, knowing he wouldn’t want to go with, and thus leaving him with limited options of where to seek shelter from the ice and snow. Trinity could barely hold back her smirk when he had confirmed he would be staying at Robby’s.

Frank is clean, in the middle of a divorce, and overwhelmed by acclimating to all of that. He just needs someone to tell him he's a good boy. Mel is willing to be that person for him, as the good friend that she is. Is she in love with him? Sure, but this isn't about that. She's just being his friend, trying to help him relax and open up a bit, nothing else. Right?

“Frank, why would we move in together?”
“I thought it might be nice,” he shrugs here, acting nonchalant even though Mel can see the tension in his jaw. “To take that next step in our relationship.”
“Frank, what are you talking about? We’re not in a relationship?”
At this, Frank’s frown deepens before widening into a frustrated half smile. “Uh, yes we are? We’ve been dating for nine months?”
