A zap of misaligned data split his helm and he groaned, optics flickering. “I could guess why I’m here, but it would only be true if you were on the outside of this cell. Unless you came here to mock me,” he shifted with a rattle of chains and looked at Megatron, “or put the final nail in my coffin.”
“I see that your logic matrix is starting to warm up,” he said, a sly edge to his lips. “Maybe you will reach more than one byte while we’re here. Then you might be able to compute your demise as it happens.”
“True to your flatteries as always,” Optimus sighed. “So be it.”

Optimus wakes up imprisoned and with… less dignified ways of escape. As luck would have it, Megatron is also there to witness it all and learn a hidden truth about his enemy. How the Decepticon will use that truth is not something Optimus could have prepared for. But he works it out – eventually.

Summary
Ratchet looks so innocent here, long before any war has had the time to turn him into a bitter and pragmatic mech who’s had too many soldiers scream and die under his hands. Not that Deadlock isn’t into that; there’s always that softness shining through, like sun through heavy clouds. This? This is all soft, but sharp around the edges where Ratchet’s wit and intelligence haven’t been whittled down to steel-hard irony yet.

Deadlock is having a very fascinating sex dream. That, or he spontaneously developed time-traveling abilities. Either way, he's about to find out just how young and inexperienced this version of Ratchet is. -

Summary
Ratchet is sick of grief and war, sick of this stupid dead planet with its hazardous radiation storms, sick of getting dragged along on Jetfire's research missions to study what happened to this world. Each detail they learn about the fate of those who lived here only seems to make him feel worse.
When a powerful storm catches Ratchet away from base, he's forced to seek out shelter underground--where he discovers, to his dismay, that he's trapped himself with a ruthless enemy. A familiar enemy. An enemy who's annoyingly chatty, asks too many questions, and seems perplexingly concerned about the Autobot medic's well-being.
