Summary
In a world where DreamWorks, Disney, BlueSky, Pixar, etc. are all combined in a modernish era. It's a bit like My Hero Academia where almost everyone has powers, but there aren't schools to train heroes (or villains). It's more like Marvel when it comes to everyday life! You're not allowed to use your powers except for self-defense. Heroes are an exception, but I haven't really made the laws yet- just the general idea. I'm bad at this.

Then they’re pulling their gloves off, revealing pale, half-bruised knuckles of the human variation, and their mask is dissolving, giving way to big blue-purple eyes and an achingly familiar jet-black cowlick. “Who,” says Keith Kogane, in that low-pitched rumble that makes Lance’s stomach roil in the good way—holy fuck—“is this guy you’re trying to get over?”

Summary
A random villain-of-the-week makes Robert late for work. It's only by a few minutes, yet the encounter that hardly lasted a few seconds instills a sudden chill in Robert's bones. Its persistence is matched only by the Z-Team's stubbornness as they force their dispatcher to join them in activities they think will warm him up.
But none of it matters if Robert can't learn to believe he'll ever be warm again... or that he deserves the warmth this team brings him.
