Gojo was silent for a moment, even though his lips had stretched into a smile. It was rare, really, for Gojo to come anywhere close to resembling genuine emotion, and yet in this moment…in this moment, Megumi knew he was dealing with the real Gojo.
“Is that a personal opinion?” Gojo asked, with his genuine, sad little smile.
“Yes, it’s a personal opinion,” Megumi returned. “Please save him.”

---“Are you alone, Yuuji?”
Yuuji’s eyes widened at the boldness in Gojo’s tone. “W-what do you mean? Of course I’m not alone. You’re here?” he questions, feigning ignorance and praying his nervousness isn’t giving him away. Sukuna’s growl reverberates throughout his mind.
Gojo puts his laptop aside, clasping his hands together in front of him and looking Yuuji in the eyes. “No, Yuuji. I mean right now. Apart from me, in this room, are you alone?” Gojo removes his glasses, sets them down on his desk and fixes Yuuji with a warm expression. “This is a safe space, free of judgement or assumptions. I want to help you understand what you're going through, but I need you to be honest with me in order for me to do that.”
Yuuji swallowed nervously, looking away from Gojo. ‘What should I say, Suku?’ He thinks, and furrows his brows when all he gets in response is silence. ‘Okay then.’ He concludes before taking a deep breath and exhaling loudly.
“No. I’m not alone.” He whispers, folding his hands into his lap, the tiles in the floor suddenly becoming super interesting.
