Summary
Based on the last line said in Expiration Date; Scout learns that Miss Pauling is ordered to kill him for falsely setting of the alarm.
This technically wasn't written as a ship fic, hell I don't even really ship Scout and Pauling, though it definitely can be seen as such so I'm tagging it since I've gotten positive feedback from people who ship it.

Summary
Things don't go as planned during the final confrontation with the Winged Lion, and Laios loses his identity, trapped in the body and mind of an animal. When he emerges from the dungeon after months, barely humanoid and mentally feral, it's Chilchuck who finds him and is tasked with helping Laios fix what's been broken.
Taking back his identity is only half of the puzzle, though. Laios is hardly fit for the responsibility he's soon saddled with, yet there are no other options; his friends will do what they can to ease the burden, but ultimately, Laios needs to somehow rise to the challenge.
His intense emotional attachment to Chilchuck overrides all else, but turning a beast back into a man is a bigger task than Chilchuck has ever tackled before, and he's not sure he can pull it off.

“Hey Five,” the crackly answering machine relayed to him, “It’s Viktor. Just wanted to let you know, I bumped into Klaus the other day- at the employment office, can you believe it? Didn’t think he was the 9 to 5 type. Anyway, he’s all fine and I gave him your number, he said he’d spread it to the others when he got the chance. So, um… yeah. Call me back when you can. Bye.”
Five listened to the message three times in total, his brother’s voice bouncing off the crooked walls. When it ended, the silence crept back in like a heavy fog until Five could remember he was sitting in a darkened, shabby room, utterly alone.
He needed something to drink.

Five gets a new job, a new life a new universe. Then why did it feel like nothing had changed at all?Everything that happened after the Hargreeves were blown into a new reality, told through messages on Five's answering machine. None of which he'd answer, of course. Just being around his family could put their new lives at risk- the further he could keep, the safer they'd be. It was better that way.

This became more focused on Paul and Richie's relationship than I originally intended, but I love familial relationships so I'm happy anyway. Lots of physical affection because I love that.
The content warning is mostly for the first chapter as that's when Richie is found after being attacked, the rest of the chapters are pretty chill.
