Jason keeps a pack of cigarettes in his jacket—not because he wants to smoke, but because he wants to win. He died choking on smoke, and now he’s trying to prove it doesn’t scare him anymore.
He tells himself it’s about control—proof that he’s not scared, not haunted by the way he died. But sitting alone on a rooftop, Red Hood gear on, helmet off, hands shaking just a little... he still can’t light one.
Then Nightwing shows up.
Dick doesn’t ask questions. He just takes a seat, accepts a cigarette when Jason offers, and lights it without a word.
