    University AU. A hungry, lonely Hannibal finds Will Graham to be a delightfully entertaining new toy, but Will won't be so easily played with.

    Pebbles bounce off of Will's wet skin and click against each other as he's pulled to sitting. Firm fingers hold his jaw.

    Through squinted eyes weighed down by wet eyelashes, Will finds Hannibal’s face hovering only inches from his own. He can't figure out why Hannibal’s hand isn’t letting him move, or letting him open his mouth to speak or take a deep breath.

    “Ask me.” The river and the birds and the wind, all cut by Hannibal’s voice.

    Will stares at him, breathes through his nose, waits.

    “Ask me to save you.” Hannibal’s fingers tighten around Will’s jaw, lift it how he wants it. Levels their eyes, then relaxes.

    Will shivers as a gust of wind pins his soaking shirt to his back. His chest aches at its center. He doesn't register himself speaking until the words have already left his mouth: “Save me, Hannibal.”

    Modern Superhero AU, friends to enemies to lovers to public safety hazards style.

    For their PHD, Viktor Nadeník and Jayce Talis co-invented a green energy battery they called Hextech. They dreamed it could change the world, but a world run on money and blood can be quite resistant to change. That resistance forces the two apart in a seemingly irreparable rift, tensions high every day despite teaching at the same academy.

    Eventually though, Viktor visits Zaun. He rediscovers his drive by rediscovering his community. Meanwhile, Jayce is growing more and more tangled in a side of his gilded city he is woefully unprepared for. It seems as though they will never reunite, but then Hextech brings them back together, locked in combat as Villain and Hero; Herald and Defender.

    What makes a good man? Is it finding success, admired by your society for doing everything right? Or retaining yourself, even despite rejection from the world? And is there any point in trying to be good in the first place?

    This is my take on the idea of a Varian spin-off series of Tangled: The Series/Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure.

    The au was presented to Disney by storyboarders Kay Ritter and Anna Lencioni who took a liking to Varian's character and decided to create a story for him in his later years; detailing the adventures he might go on and the friends he makes along the way.

    I'll likely take a lot of inspiration from other fans too and I think that's what's great about vat7k, we all inspire each other with our ideas! :)
