Summary
Although it has been 3 years, as much as Hiccup thinks he forgets it, the memories from before the Red Death continue to haunt him. The insults, the self-deprecating thoughts, and most of all the depression stay with him forever, resurfacing occasionally. As Hiccup enters another turbulent period during the war with the Dragon Hunters, the thoughts haunt him and soon enough, he turns back to his bad habit of cutting.
Can Astrid and Toothless help Hiccup save himself?

Summary
Physical and emotional Whump
Captured by dragon hunters, Hiccup is bloodied and bruised by the time he gets out. However, he doesn’t tell the riders about his wounds, just like every time he gets hurt. He was no longer Hiccup the useless and he intended to be strong, especially now that they had to work harder than ever to destroy hunter bases. However, how long can he keep them a secret before disaster strikes? Will he ever recover from his emotional wounds?
AKA an AU of Stryke out where Hiccup gets hurt, the hunters are more brutal and Hiccup works himself half to death as a result.
