Summary
In a world filled with vampires, Spencer Reid doesn't want anything to do with them.
When he is bitten, slowly transforming into a vampire, he tries everything he can to stop it.
Spencer was never normal, and becoming a newborn vampire won't help his case.
Because similar to human young, a newborn vampire is a weak, depended creature on his creator.
No one in their right mind would want to relive such an experience, and especially not Spencer Reid who was forced into it.
So he tries to hide his changes, hoping his genius will help him find a cure. Hoping his vampire teammates won't notice...OR
A de-aging story where when a bitten human slowly becomes a vampire, they resamble a human baby with their needs and mental state. It's a vulnerable position that people choose when they decide to join a coven. A decision not taken lightly, and only with the right people. But Spencer is robbed of the choice when he is bitten one mission. Although there is no cure, Spencer doesn't want to give up his humanity so easily. And anyway, who would want him as part of their coven, where he would be a burden? The only vampires he was close to are his teammates, and they didn't like him. Right?

Optimus and his team are in trouble.
They have accidentally/not so accidentally destroyed the Allspark, and the Elite Guard is on their way. Sure, it was to keep the artefact out of Decepticons' hands, but their bosses might be (rightfully) pissed at them. And when Ultra Magnus is angry, you better watch out for that hammer.
So, what's a Prime to do to protect his own in this case?
Well, perhaps use his own righteous fury as well as his encyclopedical knowledge of the Autobots' laws to deflect the blame and dazzle his Superiors before they even have a chance to ask where the Allspark is.
It's not even as if it would be unwarranted. After all, Optimus should have been on maternity leave for ages, not dealing with this slag!
