She dropped the bar back on the rack with a loud clang. “Alright, that’s it.” She moved out of her rack and over to Draco, who was leaning on the side of his barbell, cool as a cucumber. “What do you want from me, Malfoy?”
“Nothing more than to be your gym buddy.” The words came out of his mouth before he knew what was happening. Sheesh, those shorts must really be tiny. He took another glance down. Yes, yes, they are.
She snorted. “Gym buddy? As in—“ she gestured between them, “—we work out together? Why?”
“Yes, that’s the general idea. And why?” His brain spun at the speed of light to come with a reason other than his intense desire to spread apart her arse cheeks and take a good whiff. He snapped his fingers. “Because if I were to stand by and let an Order of Merlin recipient attempt to permanently injure herself—tragic death by dumbbell—I might find myself facing new charges in front of the Wizengamot for criminal neglect.”
