“You’re the only one he listens to,” Dumbledore said.
Remus swallowed what felt like his own tongue and turned back around to face him. A lump in his throat and his lips turned red as he started to bite at them.
“I know,” his voice trembled.
Dumbledore leaned back in his chair at the end of the table with a resigned look.
“You still love him,” it wasn’t a question.
Remus tightened his grip on his own knees and bit his lip even harder. Hard enough it tickled with pain and would leave indents when he decided to let go. But it didn’t stop the tears. He ended up sniffling.
The old wizard sighed,
“That complicates things."After an attack led by Sirius that resulted in Marlene's death, Remus, who is the only one in contact with him, is given an impossible task.
