There are many stars in the sky- some glow with iridescent light and beckon one with its demanding beauty. Yet others twinkle more distinctly, their destinies and their lives less important in the wake of some other’s burning light.
Whose skulls make up that splendid throne in the palace? Whose bones were ripped out and placed on His Transcendence’s head, and whose hearts did he tear out with his bare teeth?
Here are the tales that are not told, the voices that are not heard- the stars that are not seen.
In other words– a prequel of sorts for my other story, Descensus Averno, delving into deeper detail into the character’s backstories prior to Lumine’s journey, and prior/during the Chāoyuè Xīngchén’s eternal rule. This includes [but not limited to] Sucrose and Albedo’s backstory, Mavey and Veer’s backstory, Scaramouche’s backstory, Lilith’s backstory, and Aether’s backstory.

Also, Marinette is not a stalker, Chat Noir does not constantly harass Ladybug, Marinette actually has personality, I rewrote Adrien so he's more like his original self (Felix), Adrien also has a physical disability like his concept art, Chloe gets a proper development arc, Adrien doesn’t have a doormat personality, Alya actually is Marinette’s best friend, Nino actually is Adrien’s best friend, Lila is never redeemed, Hawkmoth is a competent threat, Adrien isn’t braindead, and Marinette begins to like Adrien in a HEALTHY. Way.
Also, it’s enemies to lovers. Because I can.
