The second he passed back into the open street, there was a kick to his gut and the air was being pushed from his lungs. He fell to the ground in a pile, barely able to regain his bearings, before something was wrenching at his shoulder and he was being flipped onto his back. A knee was being pressed into his ribcage, and he looked up to find the barrel of that large gun mere inches from his face.
